In the Kirovohrad region, the sunflower harvest and sowing of winter crops have been completed. This was done a month later than last year due to October rains, as machinery could not enter the fields for almost a month. Reports Suспільне.
Sunflowers were harvested over an area of 685 thousand hectares, grinding over 1 million 163 thousand 500 tons. The average yield is 1.7 tons/ha. Last year, 1 million 245 thousand tons were harvested in the Kirovohrad region, the highest in Ukraine.
Corn - over 751.5 thousand tons from 245.5 thousand hectares, with a yield of 3.06 tons/ha. Soybean - over 106 thousand tons from 90 thousand hectares, with a yield of 1.18 tons/ha. Sugar beets - 235.8 thousand tons from 6.5 thousand hectares, with a yield of 36.28 tons/ha.
In total, grain crops were harvested over an area of more than 787 thousand hectares, grinding over three million 53.5 thousand tons of grain. The average yield is 38.8 centners per hectare. Similar yield indicators were also last year.
