Last month, 12.38 thousand tons of dairy products were exported, totaling $45.63 million. This was reported by Giorgi Kukhaleshvili, an analyst at the Milk Producers Association. Compared to May, the physical export volumes decreased by 17%, while compared to June 2024, they increased by 12%. In June, Ukraine sharply reduced dairy product exports to the EU against the backdrop of uncertainty regarding customs procedures and quotas after the European Commission canceled autonomous trade measures (ATMs) for milk and dairy products from Ukraine on June 5. Since 2022, ATMs had allowed domestic processing enterprises to supply their products to the EU without quotas and duties. Until the end of June, Ukrainian companies refrained from deliveries to Europe and maintained a wait-and-see position.
