The corn harvest is almost complete in the Dobrich region, reported the Bulgarian Telegraph Agency, citing data from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food. Around 43,477 decares of corn fields remain to be harvested by farmers in the region out of a total of 662,714 decares planted. The harvesting campaign is still ongoing in the municipalities of General Toshevo, Dobrich, Krushari, and Tervel. The average corn yield is 221.2 kilograms per decare. A total of 114,650 decares of rapeseed fields have been planted in the Dobrich region. The largest area of planted rapeseed is in the municipality of General Toshevo – 31,620 decares, and the smallest is in the municipality of Dobrich – 2,400 decares. Wheat sowing continues in all municipalities of the region. According to data from this week, 585,760 decares have been planted.
