Weak trade and delayed exports for European wheat

The Chicago Board of Trade remained closed on Thursday due to Thanksgiving, and the Friday session was sluggish and shortened, as most participants opted to organize a so-called "long" weekend. At Euronext, despite no closure, the picture was very similar. The total volume of wheat futures trading on Thursday plummeted below 50,000 lots, making it one of the lowest trading days of the year. Against this backdrop, the European Commission announced that soft wheat exports from the European Union in the current 2025/26 season are 5% below the level of the same week last year.
