Sunflower Refined Deodorized Winterized Oil

Agrofoods was established in 2015 and specializes in the export of sunflower oil. It is constantly expanding the geography of deliveries, offering foreign partners favourable terms of transactions and ensuring their timely execution. It currently delivers various groups of goods to Africa, India, Israel, Georgia and other countries. It has achieved successful experience in cooperation with foreign customers allowing the guaranteed quality of agreements, delivery conditions, proper paperwork and all obligations. Products are packed in plastic PET bottles and then in corrugated boxes. All consignments are readied within 14 days from the moment of receipt of prepayment and approval of the label by the client (buyer). The labelling can be done under the company brand or under the “Private Label”. Land, Air and Sea freight are used for delivery through the ports in Odesa which is 600 km away from the facility and Nikolaev which is 450 km away.

The company holds HACCP certification and follows quality assurance procedures that are set by DSTU 4492-2017 and ISO 22000:2005. All the state quality standards are in accordance with DSTU 4492-2017.

The annual average yield of sunflower oil is 6000 MT and the harvest season runs all around the year. Cultivation areas are located in Ukraine, Kharkiv region, v. Vasishchevo covering an area of 2000 sqm in total. The production is done using conventional methods of production and the harvest season is all around the year. Sunflower seeds are first cleaned in a queen-veined compartment, where the kernels are separated from the husks. After that, the cores pass through the valets where they are crumpled. The resulting product is first heat-treated in the braziers and then it enters the press room. Oil is squeezed out of it and the remaining mass is sent to the extraction workshop which extracts the remaining 22% of the oil.

Further, the distillation of the oil is done through organic solvents which are subsequently refined using the following methods of centrifugation, settling, hydration, filtration, bleaching, deodorization and freezing. The product is treated with alkali, phospholipids and any fatty acids are removed from it. Oil is then separated from the precipitate and it moves to the bleaching stage. In order to achieve refined deodorized oil, the oil is exposed to water vapour under vacuum. 10 people are involved in the entire production process.

Sunflower oil has linoleic acid which helps in increasing its body's immune defence. Consumption of oil also lowers bad cholesterol and prevents the development of cancer. It has a rejuvenating effect due to high Vitamin E content. It acts like an antioxidant that is directed against free radicals and slowing down the ageing of cells. It participates in the metabolism of proteins and carbohydrates, improves memory and has a positive effect on the function of the sexual and endocrine glands.

Agrofood provides Sunflower Refined Deodorized Winterized Oil. It follows DSTU 4492/2017 regulations. The oil is transparent and golden in colour. The company provides packaging of various sizes in bottles of 1L, 3L and 5L. It also provides it in bulk quantity in metric ton containers. It has a shelf life of 24 months. It is suitable for direct consumption and can be used for cooking or further processing. It is an ingredient in various ointments in folk medicine, mayonnaise, cooking fats, margarine are made from it and it can be further used in the manufacture of canned food.
