The company has packing houses, pre-cooling rooms, cold rooms and a separate warehouse for the materials. The temperature of the cold rooms for both variants of coconuts is kept between 45 F and 50 F. Packaging for coconuts are in cartons or plastic boxes of 40 lbs or sacks. The products are ready for shipping in 3 days to 1 week after the payment confirmation. The most common ways to export overseas depends on the destination, however, the company has easy access to Manzanillo port, Guadalajara airport and it is connected to the main highways in Mexico.

Description
The average annual production of coconuts is 1920 MT and the production season is all around the year. They are cultivated in the Colima region in an area of 200ha. The company uses a range of technologies including manual and mechanical for the cultivation, harvest and processing of coconuts. After harvest, the product is transported to the packing housed where it is washed, processed, treated, selected, sized and packed for sale. A staff complement of more than 300 workers is utilized in all crops combined.

Description
Coconuts are high in vitamin C, stimulates the kidney and liver functions, helps digestion and benefits circulation by reducing blood pressure. Citricos de Colima de S.A. de C.V. offers both dry and fresh coconuts in various sizes. The fresh coconut is also called “water coconut”. It is tender coconut with thin flesh and contains approximately one litre of water. The dry coconut is called the “mature” variant of coconut with thick flesh and a lesser amount of water in comparison to fresh coconuts. Dry coconut has an outward appearance as light brown. Both variants are available in 14”, 15”, 16” and 17”.The product is best suited for fresh consumption and for further processing. The biggest strengths of the products are its quality and price. Both variants are durable for 4-5 weeks after yield. The cultivation of coconuts is done using conventional cultivation methods. Samples are available upon request.
