The products are pre-processed, packed and stored in temperature-controlled storage. A temperature of 13 degrees celsius is maintained inside the cold storage. Products are packed using standard packaging procedures in either corrugated boxes or vacuum bags with foam separators. The consignments are ready within 5 days of order confirmation. Sea freight is the preferred delivery method by the company and the nearest ports are Mumbai Port and Cochin Port.

Postharvest handling of Bananas plays a prominent role while assuring the safety of bananas and maintaining the quality, a good postharvest handling practice is utmost important as the product travels from producer to consumer through the supply chain. Mechanical damage and over-ripening caused by compression and bruising are the main reasons for the losses in banana supply chains. At Greenland Fresco they have a skilful and trained workforce, who strive their most to handle the banana minimally, so as to keep its quality along with safety. After harvesting bananas are packed in carton boxes with international standards of packaging and are kept in cold storages for precooling and are carefully shifted to refer containers. The containers are maintained at their ideal storing temperature and humidity conditions.

The annual average yield of green bananas is 5000MT. Harvest takes place all around the year. The cultivation areas are located in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. The production is done using conventional methods and the sorting, grading and packing processes can be tailored according to the needs of the customer. A total of 1000 farmers are involved in the entire production process.

Greenland Fresco offers premium quality Cavendish bananas which are green in colour. They are available as whole unripe fruit. The product has a sweetness of 18 Brix and is of finger length. Its is available year-round. It has a great taste along with many nutritive and medicinal value. The length approximates to more than 7.5 inches. It has a shelf life of more than 28 days and is best used for consumption and further processing. It is produced conventionally. Samples are available on request.
