The target market for chillies are China, Switzerland, UK, South Korea, Turkey, UAE, Mexico, Chile, Costa Rica, Dubai, Canada, Italy, Poland, Pakistan, Malaysia, Bulgalia, Thailand, Peru, Hungary, Spain, France, Brazil, India, Russia, Phillipines, & USA. The company is willing to export in any country keeping in mind the standard regulations and restrictions along with entry exit restrictions due to COVID19.

Golden Africa Model Farm stores the harvested produce in refrigerated storage facilities. The red chilli pepper is stored in hermetically sealed or vacuum conditions for the preservation of its quality and prevention of any mycotoxin occurrence. The chillies are packed in flat jute fabric bags of 20kgs each. The company starts planting the chilli pepper once the order quantity is confirmed and it approximately 6 months for the order to be ready for shipment. Airfreight is the preferred mode of transport as Rwanda is a landlocked country and there is no direct access to seaports.

Golden Africa Model Farm uses the best agricultural practices which meet environmental protection procedures. Special care is taken of the peppers starting from harvest to retailing of packed products. There are several quality standards set by the state which the company follows. The standards include General requirements, Classification(Extra class, class I, class II), size requirements size code & length in centimetres), level of pungency, contaminants, hygiene, packaging requirements, labelling, (consumer package, non-retail container) and the sampling of harvest. It is ensured that the quality of the products is premium, the deadlines for production deliveries are met and there is sufficient communication between clients.

The average annual production yield is approximately 50,000 metric tons. The yield is usually determined by the buyers total order and demand. The main harvest season for the product is between the months of September and December which is the rainy season. The production region is spread across 200 acres in the Rwanda region of Africa. A warm humid climate favours growth while warm and dry weather enhances fruit maturity.

The production process involves land preparation, planting, clearing the garden, nursery bed, transplanting, fertilizing the land with organic manure, cropping, watering the farm, weeding, yielding, drying, storing harvests, processing and finally the packaging. The farming procedure includes fertigation technology, intercropping, precision farming technology and chilli crop protection. It is important to choose the best suitable climate, prepare the land and planting materials. It is also important to ensure that chemically untreated seeds are used and the sowing time is appropriate.

Nursery raising chillies, spacing & plantation of chillies, irrigation requirements for chilli plants are also important techniques. There are additional processing techniques include decontamination techniques, pretreatment of green chilli pest, longitudinal slit and pretreatment of the whole red chilli. The company has around 100 permanent workers and 300 contractual workers working on the field.

Golden Africa Model Farm is a producer and exporter of Chilli Pepper. The product offered by them is a big sized, whole and bright red coloured pepper. The red pepper is ready for consumption or can be further processed. The product is healthy, delicious and is produced using 100% organic materials. It can be stored for as long as 3 years from the time of manufacture. The company is engaged in research and development to identify the chilli disease, market research, chilli benefits and prospective consumers. Samples of the product are not available at present as it involves planting, harvesting and processing of the product.
