Wellcost (M) Sdn. Bhd stores the finished Cocoa Coir indoors. It is ensured that the storage facility has a controlled sunlight exposure, water, temperature, humidity and pests control. The product is palletized with shrink film packaging. The consignment is immediately ready for shipment once the order is confirmed. The delivery takes place from the port of Klang, Malaysia.

The average production yield of Cocoa Coir is 1 metric ton per year. The harvesting process takes place all around the year. the production process includes sourcing dry coconuts, pre-washing them, de-fibering to separate the Coco Coir and finally sieving and drying Coco Coir. the entire production process is done using organic and non-GMO methods of production. The process ensures that the quality is not compromised and only coconuts with adequate colour and weight are used for the production process.

Coco peat is made from coconut husks which is the byproducts of industries which use coconuts as a raw material. It is the best choice as an alternative to the regular peat moss. Coco peat is 100% organic, natural, biodegradable and environment friendly. It has a high moisture retention capacity and is capable of retaining up to 800% of moisture (by its dry weight). The cation exchange capacity varying from 20 to 30 meq/100g and falls in the higher bracket. It improves soil aeration which allows the roots to breathe and improves the soil buffering capacity. Coco peat is mostly tolerant of pH variations and can store and release nutrients as it has a spongy texture. They are used as replacements for traditional peats in soil mixtures or used as soilless substrates for plant cultivations.

Coco peat can be reused for up to 5 years after which it can be used for composting or added directly into the soil. The product can be stored for 3 months to 9 months after manufacturing.
