Description
The company uses an extensive network of storage facilities and refrigerated space to keep the produce in good quality. The garlic is cleaned before it is filled into mesh bags or gets vacuum packed and later on shipped to their destinations. The process from harvest to shipment takes between 7 to 14 days depending on the export volume and the specific needs of each country. Cairo Farms' main way of shipment is FOB sea freight and thus is in close proximity to three major harbors; Alexandria Port, Port Said, and Port Sokhna, all of which are within an hour’s drive.

Description
The key harvest season for the white garlic is from April to September with the highest yield being in May-July. The plantation is in the suburbs of Cairo (approx 30-40km outside of the city) with an ideal winter temperature of 10-15 degrees and well-drained soils, perfect for growing the White Garlic variety. The company exports a considerably large annual volume of 100K MT. Each garlic is harvested by hand and washed/sorted by state of the art machines.
