Tambuli Group stores its chickpeas in a temperature and humidity controlled environment. The warehouse serves as temporary storage for treatment of seeds to ensure that there is no loss in the quantity and quality (nutritional value) of the chickpeas. The peas are packed in 50 kg PP bags and these bags gets placed at dry storage facilities. Each consignment takes a 3 weeks lead time before it is ready for shipment. The mode of shipment is by sea and port of shipment is Dar ES Salaam Port.

Tambuli Group ensures that the entire production process goes through inspects, auditing and control. It is ensured that the chickpeas are insect free and the standard specifications like foreign matter (0.5 % max) , damage(0.5% max), split peas(1% max) and shriveled (4% max) are satisfied. It is ensured that the farmers don't use any chemicals and fertilize their farms using natural manures and products.

The average production yield for chickpeas is 600 metric tons per year. The crop for export purpose is cultivated in Tanzania, Eastern Africa. The harvesting season for chickpeas in Tanzania starts by the end of June, July, August, September, October and finally ends in November. Chickpeas in this region are mainly cultivated by family farmers and growers. They have small and only few acres of land which is easy to manage and cultivate. They cultivate their crops through farmyard manure and keep away from farm sprays. The grains are produced using organic methods of production and non-GMO inputs.

The chickpeas or chickpea (Cicer arietinum) is a legume of the family of Fabaceae and the subfamily of Faboideae. It is a nutrient-dense food and provides 20% or higher protein content of the Daily Value (DV). It is also an important source of dietary fibre, folate and certain dietary minerals such as iron and phosphorus, thiamin, vitamin B6, magnesium. The zinc contents are moderate and are able to provide 10-16% of the DV. Chickpeas have a Protein Digestibility Corrected Amino Acid Score of about 0.76 which is higher than many other legumes and cereals.

Tambuli Group offers Whole and Raw Chickpeas of Desi variety. The produce is free from any insects and has a maximum of 0.5% of foreign matter in packaging. The whole peas are hardly damaged (0.5% maximum) and are at most 1% split. they are at a maximum of 4% shriveled.

The chickpeas are suitable for human consumption. There is a huge demand for Chick Peas in Middle East countries and Asia, especially in India and Pakistan. It is used as a very ingredient in some counties. They are also popular in Southern Europe and Latin America in soups, salads and stews. The produce can also be used as animal feed as it contains high energy and protein content. They can be stored for a long period of time however are susceptible to damage from insects and pests.
