Fresh Pineapple from Indonesia

PT. Global Fajar Indonesia has over 5 years of experience in exporting conventional and bulk tropical fruits like pineapples, banana, mangosteen, rambutan, passion fruit and dragon fruit. At present, the company has partnerships with more than 230 farmers in the western Indonesian region, and the plantation land that they manage is more than 1,200 hectares, with a supply of tropical fruits up to 50-ton per week. PT. Global Fajar Indonesia stores the pineapples in their warehouse for 2 to 3 days before stuffing them into reefer trucking/trailer. Packing is done in a corrugated cardboard box or plastic crate. The company uses a reefer container with temperature as the buyer request. Processing time is about 2 to 3 weeks from the date of order confirmation. The main port of delivery is Port of Tanjung Priok.

PT. Global Fajar Indonesia sorts the pineapples according to the buyer request for weight, maturity, Brix or other specification. The fruit is free from all types of pests and diseases, without fruit hormones, straight crown shape, Brix at least 14. The company ensures that the small size is between 700-950 grams, a medium between 1000 to 1,450 grams, and large over 1,500 grams. The company sets quality standards based on export quality that buyers request and then decide what to focus on. The company is registered under the Ministry of Trade of Indonesia.

PT. Global Fajar Indonesia has an average production yield of 12,000 MT per year and has the ability to export more than 200 MT per month. The production takes place all around the year in West Java, Central Java, Lampung, Riau and South Sumatra. The region has the ability to produce approximately 1,000 MT per month and offers supply around the year. Pineapples are planted at an altitude of 800 - 1200 m above sea level. The optimum growth of pineapple plants is between 100 - 700 m above sea level. In general, almost all types of soil used for agriculture are suitable for pineapple plants. However, it is highly recommended to choose the type of soil that contains sand and is high in organic matter. The pineapple is picked by cutting the base of the fruit stalk horizontally / obliquely with a sharp and sterile knife. Harvesting is done carefully so that it is not damaged or bruised. Conventional methods of production are used to produce pineapples. There are 1-3 people for 2 hectares.

PT. Global Fajar Indonesia offers pineapple of MD2 variety. The premium quality pineapple is whole and fresh with a crown on. It is yellow and green in colour and comes in small, medium and large size. Weight of the fruit is more than 1 kg and a minimum Brix is 15% (as request). Pineapple has smooth, slightly prickly (not even prickly) leaves and crown, large fruit, and flat eyes.

The advantage of cayenne pineapple is that it has a sweeter taste compared to queen pineapples. So that this pineapple is better if enjoyed directly as fresh fruit as a dessert or as a healthy snack. The product has a shelf life is about 3 to 4 weeks at a specific temperature. Samples are available on request however the buyers bear the shipping cost.
