The company has cold storage facilities where the fruits are stored before shipment. The facilities have controlled temperature and humidity.

Bananas are stored into strong carton boxes (38-45LBS), then pilled on pallets (48-54 boxes per pallet). And the shipment is done into cooled containers with a temperature of 13 degrees Celsius (55 degrees Fahrenheit).

The company is USDA, FDA, PACA, Global GAP, Senasica, Agricultura, and Certimix certified, and follows the procedures and process stipulated in them to maintain quality inspections, food security standards, and hygiene standards.

The company has an annual production of about 10 containers/week of Premium Cavendish bananas produced on a 300 ha production area with other fruits. The production, harvesting, and processing follows the standards set by USDA, FDA, PACA, Global GAP, Senasica, Agricultura, and Certimix.

Alvarez Farms offers Premium Cavendish bananas, from size medium (5.5”-8”) or large (8” to 9.5”), on ripeness index No. 1, weight 38-45LBS (18-20kg) per box and available all year round.
