Our goal is to be one of the big trading companies in Africa and to become a platform from where the local farmers can send their products to the rest of the world. The company is managed by a partnership, with two associates working in Benin and the United States. This gives us the perfect combination of a local based approach that allows us to keep control of the quality and all the process in Benin while having a foot on the international market. We want to generate long term partnerships with our buyers and become reference company to help them and provide them with a quality product at a good price. Our target is to expand by buying more land and have more of our own production in order to be able to respond to higher demand in the future.

The company has experience working with the United States, China and India, and would like to further expand the exports to Asia in general, while also exploring other new markets. The key buyers are usually involved in food processing, as well as food distribution through retailers and wholesalers.

The warehouse where the seeds are stored follows strict hygiene standards. The product can be processed upon demand in order to keep it as fresh as possible. Product is packed in 50kg PP bags and then piled in pallets ensuring that there is no contact with the ground. It is ensured that the condition is ideal to maintain the freshness and extend the durability. After an order is made, it takes 10 days to be ready for shipment. Products are shipped from the port of Abidjan-Ivory Coast, located at a 500km distance from our facilities.

The quality control for the product is conducted internally with the help of specialised control department. It is ensured that there is strict implementation to ensure optimum hygiene. Quality and hygiene control is a top priority for the company. Special attention is given to the moisture rate and any trace of physical contamination in the produce. The current annual production is at around 10000 MT. The company offers sesame seed cultivated in conventional method with harvest season is between the months of October and January.

Odalex offers premium raw sesame seeds which are cultivated using conventional methods of cultivation. They are whole and white in colour. 99% of the seeds are white and only 1% have darker tones. 99% of the product is pure and only 1% might have some form of impurities. The oil content in seeds is a minimum of 48% and the moisture content is capped at a maximum of 6%. The product has a durability of 6 months and is best suited for consumption.
