W38: Grapefruit Update

In W38 in the grapefruit landscape, the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA) predicts a 2% year-over-year (YoY) increase in citrus production in 2023/24, with grapefruit production also expected to rise, with an output of 79.6 thousand metric tons (mt), a 2.4% increase from the five-year average.

The South African citrus export season is ending, including grapefruits, and this year's grapefruit market saw reasonable prices throughout the season. Unlike previous years, South Africa adhered more closely to quality standards, resulting in less supply and steadier pricing.
