According to the information compiled from the data of the Mediterranean Exporters' Associations, citrus fruit exports provided 2 billion 623 million dollars of foreign currency inflow to the Turkish economy in 2019-2021. Citrus exports reached 755 million 700 thousand dollars in 2019, 933 million 150 thousand dollars in 2020, and 934 million 891 thousand dollars in 2021. The product that supported the export of citrus in the said 3 years became the tangerine, which became the favorite of exporters. Tangerine, which provided 347 million 337 thousand dollars in 2019, 437 million 696 thousand dollars in 2020 and 453 million 607 thousand dollars in 2021, contributed 1 billion 238 million dollars to the country's economy in the last 3 years.
