The Spanish Civil Guard is investigating nine people for adulterating olive oil. The operation was launched after a health alert was issued by the Spanish Food Safety and Nutrition Agency, which reported the illegal sale of olive oil by oil packaging and distribution companies. Objections concerned labeling irregularities, lack of sanitary records and official traceability checks.
