A bad week for fresh Peruvian blueberries

In the last week, shipments of the product totaled 7,955 tons, which was 65% less than the same week in 2022.
In the middle of the peak season of the Peruvian blueberry campaign, it seems that it still cannot recover. With this, so far this season, shipments of the fruit have totaled 57,495 tons, that is, 51% below the previous campaign. This week, blueberries reached 24 destinations, the same number of places as last year, but a much smaller amount purchased. The main destination was the United States, with 56% participation; followed by the Netherlands, with 26%; and China, with 6%. To the North American country, shipments of the product totaled 4,460 tons, 60% less than the same week in 2022. In this market, the Peruvian exporters Camposol S.A. stood out, with 16% participation, and Agrícola Cerro Prieto, with 13%. Regarding shipments to the Netherlands, these totaled 2,056 tons.
