According to Abairroz (Brazilian Rice Industry Association), shipments last month reached 171,574 tonnes, against 51,092 tonnes in the same period in 2020. “External sales took off again in December, creating an optimistic expectation for 2022, when we will have a supply of raw materials and favorable exchange rates”, says the director of International Affairs at Abiarroz, Gustavo Trevisan.
