The production is estimated by the market at around 3.5 million tons, while the quality remains irregular, marked by good physical parameters but limitations in gluten, strength, and stability. Part of the early harvested batches showed high levels of DON, reducing industrial use and directing about 10% to animal feed. It is expected that standardization will improve after the grains rest. Mills in the state tend to consume 1.5 million tons over 12 months and supplement blends with 400 thousand tons imported. Negotiations reached 1.2 million tons, equivalent to 34.28% of the crop, with prices between R$ 1,080 and R$ 1,150 at the mills and a reduction to R$ 54 for the producer in Panambi. In ...
