The Afghan Ministry of Agriculture has announced a significant increase in the number of poultry farms in the country, growing from less than 3,000 to 15,000 under the Islamic Emirate's rule. This represents a nearly fivefold increase, and the country is now approaching self-sufficiency in poultry production. The Kabul Poultry Association has taken responsibility for ensuring the quality and standardization of products from these farms and slaughterhouses, with 13 such facilities now operating across the country, four of which are located in Kabul.
