Recently, the climate factor has been added to the argument of profitability when choosing vegetable crops for cultivation. Dmytro Nikolaev, manager of the Ukrainian Fruit and Vegetable Business Development Project, notes: - The vegetable market has been characterized by certain trends in recent years. First, according to official data, there is a slight reduction in sown areas under vegetables. Thus, in 2021, for example, for the first time in several years there was a reduction in sown areas under onions. It is likely that this trend will continue in the next 2022.
