Consultancy AgResource has increased its forecast for Brazil's 2024/25 soybean crop to a record 172.28 million tonnes, up from 172.07 million tonnes estimated in January. The increased production is attributed to promising crops in Mato Grosso and Goiás, despite drought conditions in southern Mato Grosso do Sul and Paraná. The productivity gains in the north-central region are expected to balance any losses in the south-central region, with Mato Grosso projected to produce over 50 million tons.
