(EUROPA PRESS) - Cooperativas Agro-alimentarias de España has demanded from the administrations the labeling of origin for nuts as it happens in other fresh fruits and vegetables, as reported in a statement. Specifically, the cooperatives have pointed out the difficulties the sector is going through due to the increase in imports of almonds from the United States. Thus, the increase in imports means that the marketing operations of national production are practically paralyzed. Cooperativas Agro-alimentarias de España has on numerous occasions conveyed to the Administrations the need to establish the origin on labeling, as is the case with other fresh fruits and vegetables.
