A meeting was held by several stakeholders to discuss the supply and pricing of essential foods for Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr in 2025. The Minister of Agriculture, Andi Amran Sulaeman, confirmed that the supply of nine staple foods, including rice, meat, and cooking oil, is more than sufficient. The government has urged entrepreneurs to sell at prices below the Highest Retail Price to maintain stability. Market operations will be conducted across Indonesia to ensure the availability and stability of prices for these essential foods, particularly during the national religious holidays. Initial operations will focus on major cities in Java, with plans to expand to other areas. Pos Indonesia has been tasked with distributing these necessities and ensuring they are not resold.
