Farmers in Indramayu Regency, Indonesia, are starting the 2025 gadu planting season earlier to increase rice production and prevent drought in the upcoming dry season. This accelerated planting is being done in 14 provinces across Indonesia, including in Indramayu Regency, where 11 thousand hectares of land is being used. The goal is to meet production targets for food self-sufficiency and improve farmers' welfare. The planting is being done using transplanter machines and drones for spraying.
