The president of APAG Extremadura Asaja has expressed his concern about the withdrawal, this January, of the existing tariffs on imports from Cambodia and Myanmar, which could seriously affect the rice sector in Extremadura. Specifically, these two Asian countries have begun to benefit from the European Union's "Everything but Arms" trade regime, which allows developing countries access to the Community market without tariffs for all their products, except arms and ammunition, something that is not shares, for which the agrarian leader has requested that "the tariffs on Cambodia and Myanmar be extended."
