Argentina has suspended the import of poultry products and by-products from Brazil due to an outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) in Brazil. The suspension will remain in place until Brazil can provide proof of being disease-free. The suspension does not apply to one-day-old birds and fertile eggs, as long as they come from areas recognized as disease-free by Argentina's National Service for Agri-Food Health and Quality (Senasa). The suspension is a precautionary measure, and Argentina has recommended that its producers reinforce biosecurity measures to prevent the spread of the disease.
