Armenia will not face a shortage of grain crops against the backdrop of a temporary ban on their export from Russia. The republic is provided with the necessary amount of grain. This was reported to Sputnik Armenia by the Ministry of Economy in response to a written request. Earlier, Russia introduced a temporary ban (until August 31, 2022) on the export of grain crops to the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). This measure applies to wheat and meslin (a mixture of wheat and rye, usually in a ratio of two to one), rye, barley and corn. Meanwhile, on March 18, a preliminary agreement was reached, according to which Armenia will be able to import the required amount of grain from the Russian Federation. The Armenian side presented the list and the required amount of grain, the Russian Federation accepted the application.
