Mexico is the world leader in avocado cultivation and export, according to data from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (Sader), since 1 in 3 avocados that enter the international market are from Mexican lands, with a planted area of 241,000 hectares and a production of almost 2.4 million tons in 2020.

Only from January to September of this year, exports reached 2,187 million dollars (million dollars), an increase of 5.55% compared to the same period of 2020. APEAM was founded in 1997 with five packers, 50 producers and 51 orchards that that year exported six tons during a season of only four months; today we are 30,000 producers and 68 packers.
