Last week, export prices for feed barley demand in Ukraine increased by another 200-300 UAH/t to 11050-11200 UAH/t or 224-229 $/t with delivery to Black Sea ports amid low supply from farmers and the need to form export batches.
This is reported by UkrAgroConsult.
Over the month, export prices for barley in Ukraine jumped by 750-800 UAH/t and already exceed feed wheat and corn prices by 800-1000 UAH/t, so farmers should take advantage of current trader offers.
In the 28 days of November, Ukraine exported only 75 thousand tons of barley (compared to 157 thousand tons during the same period last year), and in total since the beginning of the season, 1.167 million tons, which is 59% less than the corresponding figure last year (1.86 million tons).
Barley prices with delivery to buyers at international tenders over the month increased by 4-5 $/t to levels of 267-269 $/t C&F, but further growth should not be expected, as Australia will enter the market in December with a large supply of a larger-than-expected harvest.
