The Biogénesis Bagó laboratory scored a new victory this week, after Canada announced that it was selected as one of the suppliers for its foot-and-mouth disease vaccine bank, a disease from which it has been free since 1952. The news was disclosed by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), which indicated that the Public Services and Procurement portfolio awarded contracts to the Argentine multinational and the Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health laboratory from Germany, after a "competitive, open, fair, and transparent" bidding process. It is worth remembering that Biogénesis is a provider of the antigen bank for Argentina, as well as for the United States since 2006.
