In view of the war in Ukraine, long-distance transports of animals such as cattle, sheep or pigs from the state of Brandenburg to and through Russia (with the exception of Kaliningrad) and Belarus as well as to and through Ukraine are prohibited with immediate effect and until further notice. The Ministry of Consumer Protection (MSGIV) has sent a corresponding decree to the handling districts, which are therefore no longer allowed to handle such transports. With every cross-border handling of animal transports, animal welfare-friendly supply must be guaranteed up to the destination.
