The main exported products corresponded to frozen meats with a value of 89%, followed by offal and boneless legs, which represented 6.5% and 2.3% of the general total, respectively. On the other hand, we have that imports grew 140% compared to the first quarter of 2021, from 0.8 mt to 1.9 mt. As the item corresponding to pork fat, in addition to participating with 51.3% of the general total, it had an increase of 236.7%. Next comes salted or brine pork and frozen offal, with values of 27.6% and 19.9% respectively. According to veterinarian and specialist Iuri Pinheiro Machado, based on data from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), maintaining the averages of the first quarter, until the end of 2022, the slaughter of pigs will grow 2.99% compared to 2021 , reaching 54548000 cb.
