SAO PAULO, (Reuters) - Brazilian exports of soybeans and corn until the fourth week of September exceeded shipments of both products in the full month last year, according to data from the Foreign Trade Secretariat (Secex) released on Monday.
The data show once again the strength of Brazilian foreign sales in a year of record harvests.
Accumulated soybean shipments in the month totaled 4.8 million tons, compared to 4 million tons in September 2022, while corn exports reached 6.6 million tons, from 6.4 million tons of the same comparison.
According to the daily average, soybean shipments reached 321,300 tons/day in the month, 68.6% more than in September 2022.
Through the fourth week of September, corn shipments had a daily average of 440,000 tons, 43.9% more than in the same full month of 2022.
