Mother's Day is an important event in the Brazilian floriculture industry, accounting for 16% of the annual trade in flowers and ornamental plants. Producers, including those linked to cooperatives, have already sold between 60% and 95% of their production for the day, with sales expected to increase by 8% compared to 2023. The holiday is particularly associated with the sale of roses, orchids, hydrangeas, sunflowers, gerberas, lilies, and other classic or colorful flowers. Ceaflor, the largest floriculture market in Brazil, has expanded its logistics to ensure delivery to retailers, with plans to transport approximately 1,500 trucks and utility vehicles full of flowers and plants daily. Demand is so high that producers are already planting seedlings for Mother's Day 2025.
