10,000 brook trout fry have been replenished in Zakarpattia reservoirs. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine. Thus, 8,600 brook trout fry have already been introduced into the Rika River in the Khust district. 1,400 trout fry (another name for this trout species) were released into the Ilmen stream of the Rakhiv district. The average weight of fish planting material was about 7 grams. Brook trout is an extremely valuable fish from the salmon family. It spreads in cool, clean and transparent waters of Ukrainian reservoirs with a fast current and a rocky bottom. Such conditions exist, in particular, in the mountain rivers of Crimea and the Carpathians.
