Cashew nut exports from Vietnam in January 2022 decreased in both volume and monetary value

According to statistics of the General Department of Customs, in the first 15 days of February, 2022, the whole country exported 7,643 tons of cashews, with a turnover of 46 million USD. In general, from the beginning of the year to February 15, 2022, the whole country exported 47,724 tons of cashew nuts, with a turnover of 283.8 million USD. Compared to the same period in 2021, the volume decreased by 18.24%, the turnover decreased by 17.5%. In 2021, the whole country exported 579,773 tons of cashew nuts, with a turnover of 3.64 billion USD. In 2022, VINACAS aims to reach 3.8 billion USD. According to preliminary statistics of the General Department of Customs, cashew nut exports in January 2022 decreased by 16.9% in volume, 19.9% in turnover and 3.6% in price compared to December 2021. Compared to January 2021, it also decreased by 11.4% in volume, down by 10.9% in turnover but increased slightly by 0.5% in price, reaching 40,187 tons, equivalent to 238.48 million USD, average ...
