Paraguay: Cereal export earnings increased 20% until end of November

So far this year there has been less export activity of the main cereals of national production (corn, rice and wheat); however, revenues grew by 20%, mainly driven by the appreciation of these items in the international market. According to the monthly report of the Central Bank of Paraguay (BCP), shipments of these products generated US $ 730.3 million in the accumulated January-November of this year, which corresponds to a surplus of US $ 188.3 million compared to the US $ 611.8 million from the same period last year. Until the end of November, they exported 2,772,900 tons of wheat, corn and rice, which represents a 6% retraction in relation to the 2,960,700 tons shipped in the previous season.
