US: Chicago produce dealers had a mixed day

In America, a mixed picture could be seen on the produce markets on Wednesday, while in Europe the sellers dominated. In Chicago, wheat rose by 0.6 percent and soybeans by 0.3 percent. Maize became cheaper by 0.2 percent and rapeseed by 3.7 percent. In Europe, the course of mill wheat, corn and fodder wheat also closed in the red, but the price of rapeseed rose in the meantime. The June contract of the dollar index stands at 104.59 points. According to a grain market analysis by Stewart-Peterson Inc., a stronger dollar could weigh on wheat exports and hence prices by raising the cost of wheat imports for other countries.
