China has bought large quantities of Ukrainian corn

In the last 2 weeks, Chinese importers have concluded contracts for the import of large quantities of corn from Ukraine, the electronic publication APK-Inform reported, citing trade sources. Although they cannot specify the exact quantities, some of them, mainly from European trading circles, estimate them at 500 thousand to 1 million tons with delivery from October to December. Singaporean traders estimate quantities of 10-12 Panamax vessels (up to 60,000 tonnes) with delivery in November and December. An anonymous source from the Ukrainian government has confirmed the information about the sale of corn to China. The active demand for imports in China is due to the extremely low prices of Ukrainian corn, which is currently among the cheapest on the market.
