Chungnam Province in South Korea is launching a livestock disease treatment insurance project for cattle farms in the Buyeo, Cheongyang, and Yesan regions this year. The project will cover a portion of the treatment costs when cattle are treated by a veterinarian due to disease. Farmers will pay 50% of the insurance premiums, with the national budget and local governments covering the rest. The insurance is expected to be available from May, and the subscription period is one year. The province plans to expand the project to more regions next year.
