In August 2024, Peru experienced a 9.8% increase in coffee production compared to the same month in the previous year, with a total production of 33,843 tons, as reported by the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI). This growth is primarily due to favorable thermal conditions that positively impacted coffee crop development. The departments of San Martín, Amazonas, and Cajamarca saw the highest increases, contributing to 60.6% of the national production. However, production decreases were noted in several departments, including Ayacucho, Ucayali, and La Libertad.
