This was told by the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solsky during the round table “Urgent needs of the Ukrainian agricultural sector for sustainability and recovery.” Among the forecasts regarding the work of the agricultural sector for the next season, Nikolai Solsky noted that a decrease in the area under corn is expected. This is due to the high cost of nitrogen fertilizers, the late harvest of the current crop, and, consequently, the impossibility of high-quality land preparation for the next season.
