Despite the occasional presence of sunny days and subsequent high temperatures, soil moisture levels are excessively high. It is estimated that a period of up to two weeks without precipitation is necessary to drain excess water and provide ideal humidity for the resumption of planting processes. In the administrative region of Emater/RS-Ascar de Bagé, planting has technically not started due to the frequent occurrence of rain since the beginning of the month. This situation increases the probability that the planting of extensive crops will not take place in the ideal period, especially considering that it will no longer be possible to take advantage of the month of September to carry out the operation.
