Price alerts. Fruits and berries On the fruit market, the main events of the current week were recorded in Moldova and Uzbekistan in the watermelon segment. Before the beginning of the summer in Moldova, the demand for imported watermelons slightly decreased and the companies supplying these melons had to reduce prices for their products. As a result, watermelon in the markets of this country could be bought at $0.93/kg. And in Uzbekistan, the season of mass export of these products is in full swing. Only in the last ten days of May, about 29 thousand tons of Uzbek watermelon were shipped to foreign markets, i.e. an average of 2.6 thousand tons per day! With the increase in supply, prices immediately decreased - by the end of this week, watermelon can be bought at local markets for $ 0.18 / kg.
