Soybean planting for the 2025/26 season advanced in Rio Grande do Sul this week, driven by favorable weather conditions. According to Emater, 60% of the projected area, totaling 6.742 million hectares, has already been sown. In the Erechim region, approximately 80% of the crops are planted, and the established areas show good initial development. Despite the positive scenario, there are reports of isolated losses in areas affected by hail. In the Ijuí region, planting work is nearly complete on small properties, while medium and large producers are finalizing their planting. For corn, sowing is also progressing rapidly and has reached 85% of the estimated area. Of the total already planted, 58% of the plants are in the vegetative development stage, 29% are in the flowering phase, and 13% are in the grain filling stage.
