PARIS (Reuters) - Soybean imports by the European Union in 2021/22 reached 5.97 million tons as of December 19, according to data published on Tuesday by the European Commission, which said, however, that the French numbers were incomplete. The volume compares to 6.97m tonnes in the same week of the 2020/21 season, the data showed. The Commission said it expects French data in its weekly EU grain export and import updates to be complete again from early January after a technical problem with France's customs service. For rapeseed, EU imports in the 2021/22 season, which started in July, reached 2.09mt, compared with 3.38mt a year earlier.
