During the conference "AgroInnovations 2025," organized by BioNorma, agricultural scientist Mykola Kosolap (NUBiP) outlined the key risks and potential consequences of European integration reforms in the field of plant protection products. According to him, Ukraine is facing the need to review a significant portion of the registered active substances. "Currently, we have 251 registered active substances. We need to ban 101—that is, more than a third will have to be withdrawn from circulation. Out of 33 European active substances, we have analyzed only 13—about 30–40% of the entire list. Therefore, the work we have done now is the first search phase, not the final study," says Mykola Kosolap. The mass removal of products from the market can have serious economic consequences for agricultural producers.
