A meeting led by Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin discussed strategies to expand Kazakhstan's agricultural exports. Over the last five years, agricultural exports have risen by 51% to $5.1 billion, with products reaching 66 countries. The primary markets include Central Asia, the EAEU, Iran, Turkey, China, and the EU. The meeting highlighted the significant growth in grain exports, especially to Central Asia, China, and Iran, and the increase in processed product exports. Kazakhstan is also working on cooperation agreements with several countries for quarantine and plant protection to enhance plant product exports. The meeting also focused on meat export restrictions and the potential for horse meat and chicken exports.
